DESCRIPTION OF PROTOTYPE OPPORTUNITY
The Distributed Operational Machine-learning for Intelligence, Networking, AI, Targeting, and Execution (DOMINATE) prototype addresses the Department of Defense’s need for real-time, multi-domain data integration and processing framework to improve decision-making and operational effectiveness. Utilizing a Decentralized Machine Learning (DML) architecture, DOMINATE will develop and evaluate a scalable, AI-driven capability for Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) and Maritime Domain Awareness (MDA). The project will employ contractor-developed and deployed unmanned systems (UxS) across air, land, sea, cyber, and space domains as distributed data sources to enhance data fusion, edge computing, and real-time analytics.
AWARD AUTHORITY: 10 U.S.C. § 4022
The DOMINATE prototype project will develop, integrate, and deploy a novel application of commercial technologies for defense purposes under the authority of 10 U.S.C. § 4022, which enables the Department of Defense to conduct certain prototype projects.
ANTICIPATED FUNDING
A single award award not to exceed $50M is anticipated.
