About the event
Overview
The Joint Directed Energy Transition Office (JDETO) is seeking solutions from academic research institutions to conduct basic research in the laser and microwave portions of the electromagnetic spectrum. This research will advance the state of the art in key directed energy technology areas, including laser sources, beam control and propagation, optics and coatings, microwave sources, antennas, and pulsed power. In support of workforce development, most of this research will be performed by degree-seeking students with oversight from advisors who are leading subject matter experts in their respective fields.
