PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The Government is seeking innovative and technically robust solutions for a prototype effort to design, develop and demonstrate a novel Maritime Lift and Transfer System (MLTS) capability.
Respondents must possess a strong background in marine engineering design, heavy-lift systems, modular transport platforms, and expeditionary fabrication who can deliver an integrated MLTS prototype within accelerated timelines to support emerging operational requirements.
The MLTS prototype will demonstrate an integrated system capable of supporting the launch, recovery, ground transport, and staging of the Navy’s Extra-Large Uncrewed Undersea Vehicle (XLUUV) at Forward Operating Bases (FOBs) that lack a permanent port infrastructure.
The end deliverable is a fully functioning MLTS prototype capable of performing safe and repeatable lift and transfer operations between maritime and shore environments.
The MLTS Prototype Project is UNCLASSIFIED.
ANTICIPATED FUNDING
NAVFAC EXWC anticipates a single award not to exceed $29M and reserves the right to make no awards depending on the solutions received.
